"Sharmistha Bhowmik is a passionate research scholar in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science, at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Alongside her academic pursuits, she is an accomplished poet and an author, whose words resonate with depth, emotion, and an unwavering commitment to the power of literature. Ranked 69th and 9th in the prestigious S7 Poetry National Level Competition, recognized as one of the highest-rated poetry contests on Google, Sharmistha has consistently showcased her poetic prowess on national platforms. Her remarkable talent was further acknowledged when she was ranked 15th in a national poetry competition by Let’s Write Publications. In 2024, Sharmistha was honored with the prestigious Rabin- dranath Tagore Literature Award by the Dawn Research and Devel- opment Council (DRDC) for her outstanding contribution to the field of literature. This recognition was a testament to her dedication and exceptional skill in the literary world. Additionally, she was celebrated as one of the Top 50 Remarkable Women of 2024 and named the Best Emerging Poet of the Year by Diva Planet Magazine, a re-flection of her growing influence and impact in the literary commu-nity. Sharmistha has contributed to numerous anthologies, such as The Change & Inspire, Impression & Creation, Love Labyrinth, They Bloom in Storms, The Art of Emotion, and Sunrise Serenade, where her poetry and story captures the complexities of nature, life, love, and emotion with vivid imagery and profound insight. A devoted follower of Lord Hanuman, Sharmistha credits her spiritual journey and devotion to Him for the guidance and blessings that continue to shape her life and work. Her personal and professional journey is further enriched by her role as a mother to her diligent daughter, Dhun.
