Priti Pawnday, though a Sanskrit lecturer by profession, is a self-taught artist, and her love for art has led her to venture deeply into the world of art. Being a student of literature, she has studied the works of great artists from both Europe and India in detail. Her vision and visits to art capitals, Paris and Rome, have provided her with further opportunities to delve deeper into the world of art and painting. She is an M.A and M.Phil in Sanskrit. She learned drawing and painting from Dr. Bakhtiar Chaudhary, a gifted artist, for three years. Later, she had the privilege of enhancing her skills under the guidance of the renowned artist Shri P. Raju. Based on her talent, she was selected by PIDILITE INDUSTRIES to be their art teacher. VIBGYOR INDICA 6 WORK EXPERIENCE Worked as an art critic for Deccan Chronicle and Indian Express, also providing sketches for the dailies. Worked as an art teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya Bolarum, Secunderabad. Conducted numerous workshops and painting competitions for schools in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Organised craft shows for the television channel ETV2. EXHIBITIONS Her first solo exhibition took place at Y.M.C.A on 21st December 2003, which proved to be a big success. The second exhibition was held at Hotel Asrani International and was visited by a large number of art lovers. A review of this exhibition, along with an interview, was telecast on Etv2 television channel on 29th December 2004. This exhibition also received praise from the press and media. Worked for Indian Express as a cultural reporter on a freelancing basis in Hyderabad. 2. Written several published articles for Deccan Chronicle, Indian Express (Hyderabad, Andhra), and Hindustan Times (Lucknow, UP). 3. Authored short stories for Sarita (a Hindi national magazine) and contributed published articles to Hindi Hindustan (Delhi). 4. Produced and broadcasted numerous articles for the Hindi section of All India Radio stations in Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Bombay. 5. Composed many poems for AIR Hyderabad and participated in kavi Sammelan broadcasts by its station. 6. Selected for nonconventional NIE teaching for national papers like The Hindu, Times of India (Hyderabad), and Hindustan Times (Lucknow, UP). 7. Worked as a consultant in teaching with Times of India 'The Hindu Hyderabad and Hindustan Times (Lucknow).
